Diagnostic Technician

BCS are looking for a Diagnostic Technician carry out general servicing and mechanical repairs on our customers vehicles.\n\nMain duties:\n\nYour key responsibilities as a Diagnostic Technician be:\n\n * Carrying out service, diagnosis, and repair of vehicles to excellent standards.\n\n * Communicating with the Service Reception team and Workshop Control.\n\n * Liaising with customers to provide your expert, technical opinion.\n\n * Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of your work.\n\n * Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge.\n\n * Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Experience ideally within a main dealership and have served a recognised apprenticeship with the appropriate qualifications (an NVQ in Motor Vehicle Technology or equivalent is essential.\n\n * Experience of working with The Volkswagen Group brands would be desirable but is not mandatory (excellent training can be provided).\n\n * The ability to be self-motivated to achieve targets.\n\n * An interest in coaching apprentices and supporting service technicians.\n\n * A positive attitude and to be a good team player\n\n * You must have a full UK driving licence\n\nBenefits:\n\n * Access to our in-house training academy for everyone\n\n * Access to The Volkswagen National Learning Centre for specific roles\n\n * Internal career progression opportunities across our various brands and locations\n\n * Electric Vehicle (EV) Training levels 1- 4 depending on role\n\n * High street discounts\n\n * Well-being portal\n\n * Employee assistance programme\n\n * Purchase, service and parts discounts\n\n * Employee referral scheme\n\n * Standard company benefits such as pension, life assurance cover, competitive holidays and cycle to work scheme\n\nBCS has been supplying local talent to local clients for 20 years.
